BETWEEN FEMI FANI-KAYODE AND RENO OMOKRI
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode , a major critic of the present administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari, seems to have assumed a sort of hatred for the Western world.
Not too long ago, he criticised the visit of US Secretary of State, John Kerry. Recently, he lashed out at Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg's comment that the Hausa language is a "unique language". This time, he got a response from none other than a Jonathan supporter himself, Reno Omokri, who is also a critic of this administration. If you've not read it already, follow the link below

Personally, I think there was nothing wrong in Zuckerberg's comment. He didn't say it to spite any other tribe. It was simply his view on the Hausa language. If he were asked about any other native dialect, he might have said the same thing. There was no need to begin to draw unnecessary inferences from it. Zuckerberg did not even visit any government official. That should show that he came for his personal business only.
Reno's response to Fani-Kayode was respectful and commendable. He stuck to the bone of contention and addressed it squarely. It was simply meant to be a mature debate. Obviously, Fani-Kayode became infuriated and went personal with Reno. Reminding Reno that he (Fani-Kayode) is more experienced than him (Reno), although his response to Reno did not reflect maturity nor experience. Reno was mature enough to end the discussion before things got out of hand.
It must be stated that Fani-Kayode is entitled to his own opinion, however. But he should strive to support the cause for the unity of Nigeria, the same country his former boss would have been leading if he had won the election rather than making divisive statements.
